Dr. Peter Grinspoon, M.D

Dr. Peter Grinspoon (“Peter”) advises SummaForte on social, medical, and general health benefits associated with cannabinoids. Peter is a primary care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. He is also a board member of the advocacy group Doctors For Cannabis Regulation and a Contributing Editor to Harvard Health Publications

After graduating from Swarthmore College, Peter spent five years as a Campaign Director for Greenpeace. He then attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. As a cannabis expert, Peter has shared his insights on National Public Radio and national television including NBC, C-SPAN and Fox and Friends, and he has been quoted in the national press such as People magazine, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, New York Magazine.

Dr. Andrea Holmes

Dr. Andrea Holmes supports SummaForte with the identification of new markets that will benefit from specially-designed formulations utilizing CBD, minor cannabinoids, terpenes and other botanical nutrients.

Andrea is a professor of chemistry and leads the Cannabis Studies Department at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. She is a leading cannabis researcher with particular expertise in hemp-derived CBD, minor cannabinoids and terpenes. Andrea is widely recognized for her scholarship and research in cannabis chemistry and has received up to $5 million in grants from National Institute of Health for her research. She also received the prestigious Presidential Early Career Award, the US government’s highest honor given to scientists who “show exceptional potential for leadership at the frontiers of knowledge.”

Andrea received her Ph.D. In organic chemistry at New York University and was a National Institutes of Health post-doctoral fellow at Columbia University in New York.

Dr. Thomas Klein

Dr. Thomas Klein (“Tom”) advises SummaForte on product use cases across a range of orthopedic needs. Tom’s areas of expertise include sports injuries and prevention where he has treated athletes from the professional level to the average weekend warrior. Tom sees the potential for SummaForte to help gamers, traditional athletes, and a wide range of patients seeking to avoid or reduce injury and pain.

Tom is a founding member of Commonwealth Orthopedics which merged into OrthoVirginia, the state's largest provider of advanced orthopedic care and physical therapy. OrthoVirginia is excited to be developing an ergonomic program incorporating the health needs of gamers and eSports players. Tom is active in medical leadership roles and served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Reston Hospital.  He oversees quality management practices in both the outpatient and hospital settings. Tom has been regularly recognized in the Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top orthopedic doctors in the Washington, D.C. region.

Dr. Lindsey Migliore (GamerDoc)

Dr. Lindsey Migliore (“GamerDoc”) advises SummaForte on the current needs of esports players and teams. GamerDoc is a licensed medical doctor in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation and is at the forefront of bringing sports science to the esports space. GamerDoc is a Faculty Associate in the NYIT Center for Sports Medicine, an editor of the Annals of Esports Medicine, and content contributor for Ezone and Learn2Esport. She also co-authored the only book dedicated to health and medicine in esports: The Handbook of Esports Medicine – Clinical Aspects of Competitive Video Gaming, published in 2021.

GamerDoc has been featured in publications such as Wired, ESports Insider, and PC Gamer.” GamerDoc is also the Executive Director of Queer Women of Esports, a Take This Streaming ambassador, a PlayVS GameChanger and she has previously served as the Advocacy Director of Women in Games International.

Jeanne M. Sullivan (“Coach J”)

Jeanne’s breadth and depth of business experience in the cannabis industry, coupled with her decades of success in starting and building companies, bring significant value to SummaForte. Known to the SummaForte team as “Coach J,” her insights, creativity, network and unfiltered “New York style of communication,” help SummaForte position itself as a leader in offering tailor-made cannabinoid-enhanced solutions that improve both performance and health of its niche market customers.

Coach J also serves as CIO of Arcview, the leading cannabis research and investment firm, and is an advisor, investor and sought-after speaker in the cannabis sector. She is an Athena Entrepreneur Fellow for Barnard College and also serves on the Global Board of Trustees of Astia, funding high-growth women entrepreneurs. Forbes cited Jeanne as “one of the women VCs changing the world” and the New York Hall of Science honored her for her work inspiring girls and women in science, technology (STEM) sectors.

Elizabeth Whitmore

Elizabeth advises SummaForte on its financing strategy including early-stage valuation. She is a founding partner of Jackson Partners, a private investment firm focused on advising, investing in, and acquiring companies across the United States.

Prior to joining Jackson Partners, Elizabeth spent five years in mezzanine and late-stage venture investing.  In her role as Vice President at Sirrom Capital Corporation and then at Finova Mezzanine Capital after it acquired Sirrom, Elizabeth had responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, and closing investment deals.

Following graduation from Dartmouth College and before receiving her MBA from Harvard Business School, Elizabeth worked for six years in the Office of the President of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the largest bipartisan think-tank in the US.

John Venardos

John advises SummaForte on regulatory compliance. He is a recognized compliance expert who has helped shape government and regulatory policies affecting the food and natural products industries for decades.  John has worked with regulatory officials around the globe on behalf of major food supplement and pharmaceutical companies including Herbalife, NutraSweet and Pfizer. He understands how to navigate the complex regulatory landscape that currently characterizes the cannabinoid industry and even helped establish one of the first CBD industry associations in Washington, D.C.

John will help guide SummaForte as we actively participate in bodies that aim to raise understanding and standards in the cannabinoid industry. Finally, John’s experience and network at the international level will be valuable as SummaForte expands to other regions.
